Halfway through the year, here we are!

I came across this incredible rose garden by someone's house on one of my afternoon walks. It was breathtaking so I got my own mini rose at home now.

This 6th month of 2024 is truly a reset month for me but also a celebratory month. Here are the reasons why:
I have been wanting to talk about this song since it came out in May but I was waiting for the right time and place for this topic. June is LGBTQ+ month and I have always been a supporter of people being themselves and being allowed to love who they want.
What I did not expect is for Solar from Mamamoo to be such a public supporter of this cause. She released "Colors" from her album titled the same way, which is basically an LGBTQ+ anthem. I was completely taken aback by her courage to do this in South Korea where society is still very conservative about this topic. She proudly sang this on national TV and even won a Daesang for it. I am so happy to be a MooMoo (Mamamoo fan) as all 4 ladies deserve my utmost respect for being themselves despite adversity along the way.
I also love how more and more women are public figures in tech and IT on major platforms. One example of this is iJustine, one of the Youtubers I watch from time to time. I was so happy to see her officially interview Tim Cook after the Apple show. She has come such a long way, especially for a woman in this field and she is paving the road for other girls to follow into.
As for me, I have completely revamped my website (reveal will be on July 1st) by creating a brand (hopefully some day it can become that). I designed my own logo and I have also been published in almost all US libraries and some bookstores. Seeing my ebook at Barnes & Noble almost made me cry. It is also available on the entire Apple platform as an e-book. To me this is a big accomplishment, seeing how I did everything by myself from A to Z and the work is only just beginning.
I think having found my creative streak again has given me a fresh look on art and ignited the spark I have been searching for.
Here is to being free to be ourselves, loving who we want and following our dreams and passion with ardor.
